Hello I'm Alonso, but most people call me al.
Currently I'm a working as a Senior Industrial Designer for 3M in Minneapolis MN. There I'm focusing my efforts on ridding the world of bad air quality,one fitler,one room air purifier, and one air quality monitor at a time.
Design has given me so much and I'm grateful for the fact that I get to do what I love everyday. Having the opportunity to create something meaningful or enjoyable for someone to use is quite rewarding and I value,appreciate,and respect every opportunity that i have been given to do this.
It is my hope that my work relfects this sentinment and that it shows a level of thought,care,passion,and consideration for the product,end-user, and the context the product is within.Aesthetically I strive to create simple, approachable, balanced,and well considered forms that move people in some sort of way as other great designers have done so for me.
Often times I reflect back on the days of being a student when i was holed up in my old dormroom, or late night in studio thinking "man....when I get my chance..I'm going to make it count" The work here is a manifestation of that thought and me giving my best to make it count and although nothing Im show casing here is perfect....it is progress.
Im not there yet.....but I'll get there someday
